As winter ended and spring began Russia was all mud and dust.
Behind the facade of storefronts
- bustling streets where people eagerly
displayed there adept consumption -
lay the apartment complexes where the city
sleeps and the playgrounds where their children play.
Toy soldiers. Cold wars.
The frost takes a long time to thaw and these images are
Testament to a false spring slowly but surely blossoming.
